So you’re considering doing a detox?
Maybe you’re feeling nervous or hesitant because you don’t know what to expect, or aren’t sure you’ll be able to finish it? I totally get it! A lot of people feel overwhelmed thinking they won’t be able to keep up with the changes needed, but this detox makes it really easy!
That’s why I wrote this blog, to take away any misgivings, answer your questions, and show you what you can expect!
I’ve done this detox countless times myself, and have supported so many other people through it.
Whether you’re consider the 7, 14, or 21 day detox, it all looks about the same, just repeated 2 or 3 times.

What You Can Expect During the Detox
1. Expect to learn a lot about yourself during the detox. Sounds cheesy, but the detox can be challenging on many levels. The detox challenges you to change how you eat, rethink how you look at food, and look at your relationship with food. Many people finish a detox and feel “free” from the control food cravings or unhealthy foods had over them.
2. You will feel empowered. The detox will empower you to know that YOU are in charge of your health and symptoms. Expect to feel much better after the detox and learn the importance of detoxing on a regular basis for optimal health!
3. Depending on your toxic load before the detox (you can test your toxic load here: Toxicity Quiz), expect new symptoms to appear or current symptoms to worsen temporarily. As toxins leave our body (thanks to the extra support the detox gives to our liver and body), we sometimes can feel achy, have headaches, or develop new or worsening current symptoms. Don’t worry; this usually lasts the first few days of the detox; then, expect the symptoms to clear and for you to feel even better than before starting the detox.
4. Expect to be strict with the diet and supplement regimen. It’s important to remember that growth occurs during challenging times. The detox is temporary, but the benefits can last long after the detox ends.
5.The positive benefits people notice first DURING the detox are weight loss, increased energy, better sleep, and improved mood. If weight loss is a concern, you can avoid the fasting days or make sure to increase your carbohydrate intake during the detox.
6. Expect not to feel hungry during the detox. This detox does a great job of making you feel satiated even on the fasting days. You may miss eating food, but you shouldn’t expect to feel hungry.
Detox Symptoms and How to Handle Them
During the detox, some people feel fantastic throughout the process, and others may have days where they feel slightly unwell. Detox or withdrawal symptoms from coffee and processed foods are common and may manifest differently for each person.
Symptoms like headaches, fatigue, body aches, insomnia, and mood swings are among the most common. If you encounter any of these symptoms, consider trying the following:
